Rishabh Dev Yadav
I am a PhD student in the Department of Computer Science at The University of Manchester, UK, supervised by Dr. Wei Pan. I am also an an ELLIS PhD student, co-supervised by Dr. Sihao Sun (TU Delft, Netherlands).
My research lies at the intersection of control theory, machine learning, and aerial robotics, with a focus on:
- Adaptive & optimal control
- Data-driven control
- System identification
I primarily work with aerial robots, such as quadrotors and aerial manipulators, and my expertise spans both high-fidelity simulation (Gazebo, Isaac Sim) and real-world experimental platforms. My current research investigates fast, data-efficient model learning and online fine-tuning for aerial vehicles during flight, under limited computational resources with streaming data β a critical requirement for practical autonomous systems. In the long term, I aim to develop safe, adaptive control strategies capable of handling real-world uncertainties and disturbances, enabling aerial robots to reliably track trajectories in complex, unpredictable environments.
